DURHAM -- Students across the Oyster River School District have participated in a number of traditional seasonal activities in recent weeks.
Preschool
Preschool students trick-or-treated at the high school, both high school staff and students greeted them in the hallways and handed out special treats.
Moharimet Elementary School
Moharimet Elementary School hosted its annual Pumpkin Stroll on Oct. 19. Students planted pumpkin seeds last June, harvested the pumpkins this fall, and carved them at school for the Stroll.
Guests toured school grounds, which includes glowing jack-o-lanterns. Family and friends enjoyed music and storytelling around a bonfire, with popcorn, apple cider, and baked goods available.
The school administration would like to thank the Moharimet PTO and dozens of volunteers for making the Stroll a success.
Mast Way Elementary School
Mast Way students, parents, caregivers, staff, and community members enjoyed the annual Spooktacular celebration on Oct. 20.
Music filled the gymnasium while families and friends played games and enjoyed treats and baked goods provided by the Mast Way PTO.
