During Open Circle lessons at school, students learn to be cooperative and caring, how to improve communication, problem solve, develop self-control, take responsibility, learn social skills and how to build relationships.
This Open Circle Parent Program is designed to:
- Familiarize parents with the skills your children are learning and practicing in the classroom.
- Assist parents in the use of these skills at home.
- Adapt and extend these skills and techniques for more effective parenting.
We are offering a 5 session parent program open to all parents of K-5th graders. This engaging, interactive program is activity and discussion based and encourages parents to share and learn in a supportive, comfortable and safe setting. The program includes all 5 sessions, with material from one building on the next, culminating in a shared learning experience and skill development.
The program will run at Moharimet Elementary School Library from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on the following dates:
- Wednesdays 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, & 3/6
Parents will be provided with materials. The program will be run in small discussion groups. Multiple groups will be run at the same time based on registration. If you are registering, you are committing to being there for all 5 sessions.
