Moharimet students take to the voting booths as they vote in the 2024 Mock Election!

On Friday, November 1, 2024, Moharimet students participated in the NHPBS Mock Election for US President and NH Governor. Throughout the day classes walked to the Madbury Town Hall to cast their votes. The room, table and ballot boxes were set up as accurately as possible to give students a realistic experience.

The purpose of the Mock Election was to give our students the opportunity to practice their civic duty as voters. In the days leading up to the election students learned about the electoral process, researched candidates, and made informed decisions. Kindergarten and 1st grade voted for President of the United States and grades 2 through 4 voted for President and Governor of New Hampshire.

The results of all participating schools' voting and more information can be found here: NH PBS Mock Election

Many thanks should go to Moharimet's Digital Learning Specialist, Sarah Curtin, and Librarian, Chris Hall, and all the parent volunteers who made this event possible!
