On October 23, 2024, the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra (PSO) Brass Quintet visited Mast Way School for a special assembly in the gym.

Led by Adam Gallant, the PSO provided students with a free performance funded through a grant. The October 23 assembly featured Adam Gallant and Greg Bechtold on trumpets, Michael Bellofatto on french horn, Brandon Newbould on trombone, and Crystal Metric on tuba.

The quintet played a selection of spooky songs to celebrate fall season and some movie favorites such as music from Encanto, Star Wars, and Harry Potter.

Between performances, each member talked about their instrument and its place in the brass quintet.
