On May 23, 2024, Oyster River Middle School staff and students hosted a festive celebration in honor of the arts and humanities.
Arts & Humanities Night was a busy evening filled with creative activities such as manadala pins creation and clay art. Physical challenges were offered in the gym.
In the Learning Commons, staff, students, and community partners shared resources for families and community members.
On the second floor, guests were delighted with live music played by middle school orchestra students, and a wide variety food samples offered by volunteers. Coffee Connection served original beverage creations and various classrooms were available for guests to explore (arts, world language, robotics, and more).
"The event was a huge success and we look forward to offering it hopefully annually", said Principal Sullivan. "I am thankful to the amazing Oyster River Middle School students and staff, volunteers, PTO, community, and everyone who has been a part of making this a memorable evening."
Attendees were invited to take part in a variety of activities. Pictured: mandala pins activity.
End 68 Hours of Hunger was present to share information on their program and to accept donations.
The Coffee Connection team crafted delicious beverages for the crowd.
