DURHAM -- The Oyster River Cooperative School District is pleased to announce that School Business Administrator Susan Caswell received the 2023 Alexander J. Blastos Distinguished Service Award.

On Wednesday, March 22, Nathan Lunney, New Hampshire Association of School Business Officials (NHASBO) President, recognized Caswell for more than a decade of work and dedication to the District.

“Sue has served with distinction as a member of the NHASBO Executive Committee in the elected positions of Secretary, Vice President, President, and Past president,” said Lunney. “She also served in many volunteer committee positions over the years and has consistently laid out the most cost effective and efficient path to meet her District’s goals.”

"We are honored to have Sue as a member of our team and thankful for her many contributions to the school business profession," Superintendent James Morse said. "Sue was instrumental in structuring the insightful financing of the Oyster River Middle School and, in her quiet, supportive way, has served as a powerful example and mentor, especially to the growth of women serving in leadership positions in New Hampshire's public schools."

Caswell will receive the physical award on Saturday, June 3, at the EDies Award Ceremony, which will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Manchester.
