Oyster River Middle School (ORMS) students achieved resounding success at the Music in the Parks festival in Hershey, PA, on May 18, 2024.

The ORMS Festival Band and Jazz Band both placed first in their school size division for middle school jazz ensemble and middle school concert band. They also each earned overall middle school jazz ensemble and overall middle school concert band.

In addition to partaking in the event, students spent two days visiting Gettysburg, performing for judges, and having fun at Hershey Park.

Music Teacher Sarah Kuhn said, "Music Teacher Jacob Boulay and I are incredibly proud of our students' hard work and commitment. Their passion for music has truly shone through, and it's an honor to see them recognized for their remarkable performances."

ORMS's exceptional showing at the Music in the Parks festival underscores the school's and District’s commitment to excellence in music education and serves as a shining example of Oyster River students' talent.
