DURHAM –The Oyster River Cooperative School District is pleased to share that Director of Communications Genevieve Brown has been elected as the New Hampshire Representative to the New England School Public Relations Association (NESPRA).
The announcement was made on May 10 at the annual NESPRA conference in Springfield, MA.
Brown will represent New Hampshire as a member of the Executive Board and will act as a liaison to connect school professionals and administrators. Brown will be responsible for facilitating opportunities for New Hampshire NESRPA members to connect and collaborate with one another.
Brown has served as the Director of Communications for Oyster River since 2022. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Ancient Studies and a graduate degree in Public Relations, both from Université Laval in Quebec.
Brown has previously served as Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Community, and Programming on award-winning Boards of the American Marketing Association (Boston, Triangle, New Mexico).
NESPRA, a chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), provides individuals across New England with professional development and networking opportunities to address regional and national issues, and best practices in school public relations and communications.
Brown and Superintendent Dr. James C. Morse, Sr., have been selected to present on "Equity in School Communications" to the National School Public Relations Association 2024 National Seminar in July.
“Gen has been a valuable asset for Oyster River, and her commitment to NESPRA and giving back to the community is in the true spirit of our school district,” said Superintendent Morse. “She demonstrates strong leadership and advocates for students and their families. I am certain she will be a remarkable resource for NESPRA and New Hampshire school communicators.”
