On November 8, 2024, Oyster River Middle School (ORMS) hosted its 3rd Annual Veterans Day Ceremony and Breakfast. Local veterans were invited to join students and staff in the Morse Recital Hall for a touching celebration of their service to our country and community, followed by breakfast in the Learning Commons.

8th grade student Katharine Sahr sang the national anthem, ORMS’ Festival Band played America the Beautiful, and 8th grade student Claire Boysen shared a tribute.

U.S. Navy Captain Lee Alexander who now serves as a research associate professor emeritus for University of New Hampshire’s Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping shared an inspirational speech with the audience.

Principal Sullivan and Counselor Stephanie Kadden, who organized the event, would like to thank ORMS students, staff, volunteers, and community members for helping with this important celebration.
