On January 13, 2025, President Biden announced the nationwide recipients of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)

Mast Way School Digital Learning Specialist Susan Leifer was named as a recipient. Ms. Leifer was also a semifinalist for the award in 2022.

Only 5 educators from New Hampshire received this year’s presidential distinction.

The selection process is rigorous and applicants have to demonstrate deep knowledge and adaptability to personalize their approach for different learners and teaching environment.
