Senate Mission Statement
The Oyster River High School Student Senate is a representative body of grades 9-12 promoting the meaningful involvement of students in school affairs. The Oyster River Student Senate is the liaison between Oyster River High School’s student body, administration, and community. The Senate can accept projects presented by administration, the student body, and members of the Senate. As one of their duties, the Senate will keep the student body well informed about the projects they undertake, and the progress being made. The Student Senate will work to embody the school’s mission in their practice. Therefore, the top priority of the senate is to create positive and lasting changes for the betterment of all students at Oyster River High School. Each grade will elect four senators.
